Earlier this year, Spoonflower launched an exciting new design feature called Fill-A-YardTM which offers the ability to print more than one design in a single yard giving designers and makers more flexibility with the fabric they order. This groundbreaking technology also allows users to select from multiple Fill-A-ProjectTM templates such as cheater quilts, scarves and more. Today we’re excited to announce that Spoonflower has added ‘Dinner Napkins’ to our template line-up! Curate your own set of twelve 16″x16″ napkins customized with the designs of your choosing. In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through how incredibly easy it is to create your very own Fill-A-ProjectTM Napkin Set using Collections on Spoonflower.
We first spotted Doops Designs on Instagram and were all abuzz about the cheerful prints on handmade women’s apparel and home goods. Jane Newham is the maker behind those silhouettes as well as the designs—some of which she screen prints by hand—all destined for warm-weather comfort and style. She hails from the little country town of Dunoon (her neighbors’ cows sometimes make a cameo in her photos), tucked in the hills behind Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. Join us on this next around-the-world trip to meet the amazing people using Spoonflower!
My day starts with:
“Having a cuppa outside before the kids get up and watching the sunrise. We are heading into our summer soon, and as you can see with all my work it’s very much summer-inspired. I love summer; I love the smell in the air—we live on a beautiful farm looking out over onto rolling hills with a national park in the background. I grew up here, though I moved to Melbourne when I was 18, and then moved back when I was 38 and have been here for two years now and love it. I’m a country girl at heart, though I do miss the hustle & bustle of the city.”
Meet Rachel N., Spoonflower employee of three years and resident fashion icon around the office. Once a Floor Operations Specialist, then Printer Operator and now in her current position as Customer Service Advocate, Rachel has got the ‘Spoon-knowledge’ (and your back!) if you’re a customer in need of help. We’re so excited to introduce to you Rachel in our next Meet Spoonflower interview.
The first thing I want you to know about me is:
“I’m a local drag king. My signature is my silver glitter beard.”

I recently remodeled my children’s bedroom. Okay — I actually just bought them a bunk bed and found a couple of new places to shove toys from immediate view. But, it’s like a whole new world in there! Somehow the process of rearranging a room always makes me want to revamp the artwork on display as well, so I started combing through old drawings for interesting kid’s room decor. Spoonflower’s gift wrap opens endless opportunities for inexpensive DIY artwork, and you can print several posters on one roll. In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through two ways to set up files with multiple images using Adobe Photoshop or InDesign.

If the name ‘Scrummy’ sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Nottingham, UK resident Sharon Turner, or scrummy as known in the Spoonflower Marketplace, has been a Spoonflower designer for the past seven years and a creative maker for even longer. “Growing up, whenever anyone asked me what I was working on, I’d say ‘something scrummy’ (short for scrumptious). I was always drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting, making paperweights, just about anything crafty and colourful. I used to make soft furnishings and jewellery before designing full time. So ‘Scrummy Things‘ worked well as a business name.” We’re thrilled to have Sharon visiting us on the blog today, so let’s dig right in!
My day starts with:
“Much coffee. Emails and Facebook. Then about 5 or 6 movies. I can’t work listening to music as I end up bopping around, so it’s pretty much back to back horror and sci-fi. As a general rule, the scarier the movie, the cuter the design.”
All aboard! Meet Barbara, Operations Specialist and Spoonflower employee of just over two fun-filled years. The first thing I want you to know about me is:
