Alyson Toone Aguilar is a Los Angeles-based textile artist and surface designer. After she graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design, she relocated to New York City to pursue a career as a fashion designer. While working for various brands, Alyson maintained a small business—Alyson Jon Life—creating handcrafted modern jewelry which led to creating with textiles.
In 2014, Alyson started teaching jewelry workshops and fell in love with encouraging people to be innovators. In 2020, she founded Make It Work to teach crafts that are connected to design thinking and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), to professional teams and individuals.
Currently, Alyson resides in Los Angeles, CA where she shares her home with her partner, Angel and two dogs, Zeus and Canela.
