Serene Wallscapes | Entries due by November 28, 2023

A top-down view of a Zen Garden. Beige sand has calming lines raked into it curving around two smooth round tan stones.

Channel a mindset of tranquility this week to design large scale wallpaper suitable for the most serene spaces.

What kind of styles bring you a sense of calm? Whether you try your hand at soft and soothing abstracts, nature-inspired watercolors or minimalist motifs, find inspiration by envisioning your design gracing the walls of serene spaces like spas, yoga studios and meditation rooms.

Entries will be previewed on a Wallpaper roll. Submissions close November 28 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins November 30. Winners will be announced December 7. See official rules.

Floriography | Entries due by December 5, 2023

A dense wildflower field is filled with green stems and leaves topped with yellow, red, purple, white and blue flowers.

Floriography is the language of flowers, and every flower has something to say if you stop and listen!

Flowers have a rich history in symbolism and even medicine across many cultures. This week you’re encouraged to find inspiration beyond your favorite blooms and think about what your botanical designs are saying. Imagine how your design would be featured in floral fabric projects or wild walls.

Entries will be previewed on a Fat Quarter, cropped to an 18×18” square from the bottom left corner. Submissions close December 5 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins December 7. Winners will be announced December 14. See official rules.

Block Print-Inspired | Entries due by December 12, 2023

Close up, top-down view of a hand pushing a brayer to ink a carved linoleum block printing block with pale yellow ink. To the right there is a small strip of dark gray fabric printed with a pale-yellow pattern, peeking out from under the linoleum block.

Create a design that embodies the timeless style and handmade texture of block printing.

Block printing combines texture and precision, resulting in sophisticated repeating patterns that have the power to elevate any space. This week’s challenge presents you with the opportunity to draw from traditional motifs or infuse modern elements into a new block print-inspired design. Imagine your design being used on wallpaper, upholstery fabric and home decor.

Entries will be previewed on a Fat Quarter, cropped to an 18×18” square from the bottom left corner. Submissions close December 12 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins December 14. Winners will be announced December 21. See official rules.
