Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 yard of Hanukkah Banner Fabric in Polartec® Fleece
- Scissors or rotary cutter
- Hot glue
- String or ribbon
- Popsicle sticks (optional, but recommended)
Step 1: Cut out the dreidel flags and lay out two rows so that one row reads Happy ✡ Hanukkah and the other reads the exact reverse right below it. This part is a bit confusing to explain, so we’ve included a numbered visual below. H (1) should correspond with H (1), A (2) with A (2), P (3) with K (3), P (4) with K (4), Y (5) with U (5) and so on. Turn all the flags over so that right sides face down.
Pro tip: Place two popsicle sticks vertically on either edge of the backside and one across the top of the top row of flags for added structure. Fasten them to the top row with hot glue.
Step 3: Working piece by piece, apply hot glue to the other side of the popsicle stick or directly to the edges (leaving the dreidel handle unglued) of the top row of flags if skipping Step 2.
Step 4: Lay the string or ribbon between the two pieces and glue to secure.
Optional: If you want to embellish/finish the edges of the dreidel bunting, you can use some thick string and add a whip stitch.
Step 5: Hang your bunting and enjoy!
