10 years ago, Kim Fraser had her heart set on making a set of yellow oversized polka dot curtains for her living room. When the oversized polka dot fabric was nowhere to be found, she took matters into her own hands. With the help of her husband, Stephen Fraser, and his colleague Gart Davis, the three set out to create a custom printing fabric company for a growing maker and designer community, and to finally get those darn polka dots! Launching in Mebane*, North Carolina, this ambitious team of three began hiring like-minded individuals and, now 10 years later, the business has grown into an international team of 165 creative employees.
Spoonflower Anniversary
Celebrating 10 Years of Spoonflower!
Did you know 2018 marks Spoonflower’s 10 year anniversary? It’s safe to say we’ve come a long way from the days of printing just three yards of fabric in one hour and having a team of just five. Over these 10 years we’ve been lucky to see our community of makers and designers grow, and through social platforms like Instagram, we’ve gotten a front-row seat to your creativity.
