When choosing gift wrap to add personality to your presents, what design trends catch your eye most? Do you go with traditional patterns like plaids and stripes or do you prefer to let your gift wrap do the talking with bright colors and bold design choices? We’ve searched the Marketplace for some of our favorite designs to celebrate the season. They’re cozy and festive and we promise you’ll find the perfect design for everyone on your list! We’ve even sprinkled in four DIY projects to inspire your holiday décor!
Once September 1 hits, fabric, craft, and home goods stores start to stock their shelves with holiday wares. Whether you love it or hate it, seeing holiday stockings for sale when it’s still warm outside will never not be weird for us at Spoonflower HQ in Durham, NC. This year, we’re taking a different approach: making our own! This project can be done using 1 yard of fabric (this is a great Fill-a-Yard™ project!), takes no time at all, and will have friends and family members begging for your DIY secret. Whether you tell them (or make them one) is up to you. Download your free pattern and let’s get started!
Adding stockings to your mantle is a festive and simple way to really get into the holiday spirit. You may use the same stockings year after year, or create new ones every so often for a fresh update to your holiday decor. Kelly, a member of the Spoonflower crew, visits the blog to share how she stitched up two stockings for her fireplace in no time!
The holidays are right around the corner and what better way to get into the spirit of the season than crafting a stocking to adorn your mantle! I started out by picking out two different prints, Holiday Trees and Christmas Dots both by Andrea Lauren. I had them printed on Eco Canvas, which worked out great since it is a heavier weight fabric.
