This week's giveaway is for another beautiful sewing title from Chronicle Books. Tessa Everlegh's Sewing Made Simple is one of those books we'd really like to hold onto ourselves at the Spoonflower office. It's geared towards the sewing beginner and, while some of us are past needing a sewing introduction at this point, the 500+ pictures are so gorgeous we want to keep it anyway. Even the photos of needles are compelling!
Beyond the beautiful photos, though, Sewing Made Simple is also a solid and thorough beginner's guide and includes instructions for making 20 basic projects to help you get comfortable. With chapters on the basic tools you'll need to get started, different fabric types, how to use patterns, hand- and finishing stitches, and how to use a sewing machine, this book explains and features photos of it all. If you'd like to win a copy, just leave your comment here or on the corresponding Facebook post and include your Spoonflower screen name or other means of getting in touch with you in case you're our winner. Entries will close next Tuesday, 7/31 and we'll announce a winner on 8/1. Good luck to you all!
Last week, we gave away a copy of Famous Frocks and a set of dressmaking notions, and UK-based Justina Dewhurst-Richens was our winner. Congratulations, Justina, and I hope you put these prizes to good use!
