Non-Directional Wallpapers | Entries due by June 27, 2023

Looking down at two feet in black and white Converse sneakers, standing on pavement that has white arrows drawn in chalk facing in many different directions.

This week your challenge is to create a wallpaper design that doesn’t have a clear up or down, it could be installed in any direction and still make sense.

Non-directional wallpapers look beautiful installed traditionally on the wall, but they also work well for unique applications like ceilings. As Spoonflower customers get more and more creative with wallpaper, we challenge you to create non-directional designs that work for these exceptional use cases!

Entries will be previewed on a roll of wallpaper. Submissions close June 27 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 29. Winners will be announced July 6. See official rules.

French Country Table Linens | Entries due by July 4, 2023

A close up image of a picnic set up on the grass. Baskets are filled with fruit and baked goods, a jar of olives and a straw hat rest on a light blue and white gingham tablecloth.

Imagine your latest design adorning the table for a cozy brunch or afternoon tea in the French Countryside.

French country design is the perfect blend of rustic and refined. Often referencing life in the French countryside this style incorporates soft colors, farmhouse influences and vintage-inspired elements that come together to create something sophisticated but comfortable.

Note: While designs with images from the public domain are allowed on Spoonflower.com, they will not be accepted for this challenge. Read more about rules surrounding copyright and original artwork for design challenges.

Entries will be previewed on a fat quarter, cropped to an 18″ x 18″ square from the bottom left corner. Submissions close July 4 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins July 6. Winners will be announced July 13. See official rules.

Monster Mash | Entries due by July 11, 2023

Four small monsters made out of different colored clay, green, blue, red and yellow, stand with their arms stretched out towards the camera. They are cute and child like with uneven round beady eyes and tiny white teeth.

It’s time to design for spooky season with this monster-themed challenge.

Whether your style leans cute and bubbly or mysterious and spooky, we invite you to create a monster menagerie that’s ready to hit the town this Halloween. While designing imagine your pattern being used on haunting home decor, adorable apparel and creepy craft projects.

Entries will be previewed on a fat quarter, cropped to an 18″ x 18″ square from the bottom left corner. Submissions close July 11 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins July 13. Winners will be announced July 20. See official rules.

East Fork Autumnal Table Linens | Entries due by July 18, 2023

An overhead shot of East Fork's core color pottery including large plates, small plates, bowls and mugs of different sizes, resting on a natural off-white tablecloth. The pottery colors include Amaro (a saturated terra cotta), Blue Ridge (a deep blue), Morel (a neutral light brown), Black Mountain, Eggshell and Panna Cotta (a creamy white).

Set the table for fall with East Fork’s core colors in this autumnal limited color palette challenge.

When autumn arrives it often signals a sense of slowness that brings with it more time spent around the table with family and friends. Whether you look forward to big boisterous parties or cozy intimate gatherings, we challenge you to use East Fork’s core colors to design something you’d be proud to display on your autumn table.

An Important Note About Your Entry

Artists must:
Use two or more colors from East Fork’s core color glazes, listed below.

Artists can:
Add textures and gradients that may introduce lighter or darker variations of colors in this palette, but East Fork’s core colors need to be dominant in the design. Honoring the glaze colors is key!

Artists cannot:
Use white or introduce new colors that are not featured in the palette.

The East Fork core colors are Amaro (#AB614A), Blue Ridge (#415C82), Morel (#948272), Black Mountain (#212121), Eggshell (#DDE4E6) and Panna Cotta (#EDE6D6).
