Petal Solids Coordinates: Optimism | Entries due by May 24, 2022

Petal Signature Cotton® Solids is our collection of 100% cotton solid fabrics that make it easier than ever for makers to color coordinate their favorite Spoonflower designs. This week, create a design that utilizes the colors Watermelon, Marigold, and Lemon Lime to use alongside the Petal Solids fabrics.

Our Research & Development team worked hard to identify RGB hex codes you can use that perfectly match our Petal Signature Cotton Solids: Watermelon (#DF737B), Marigold (#EF9F04) and Lemon Lime (#EBDD1F). Imagine this bright and warm palette used in a bedding set or a pillow collection when coming up with your design.

An Important Note About Your Entry

Artists must use 1, 2 or all 3 colors from the provided Petal Solids hex codes colors Watermelon (#DF737B), Marigold (#EF9F04) and Lemon Lime (#EBDD1F). Additional colors are ok to use, but we recommend keeping it simple with no more than 4 colors total (not including black and white) to ensure your design coordinates well with the solids.

Bold Minimalism | Entries due by May 31, 2022

Minimalism is all about stepping back from the complicated and unnecessary, leaving only the things that provide you with pure value. Spoonflower is all about simplifying and making things easier, but we also love things that stand out from the crowd! Introducing: Bold Minimalism.

This week, your design should focus on simplicity, something you could imagine being added to a minimalistic interior room makeover, but it should also include contrasting elements like pops of color or a striking composition.

Entries will be previewed on a 21” x 18” fat quarter. Submissions close May 31 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 2. Winners will be announced June 9. See official rules.

Disco Revival | Entries due by June 7, 2022

Grab your grooviest dancing shoes and let’s hit the disco! This week, we’re throwing back to retro dance floors, colorful lights, iconic 70s fashion (something that’s currently trending) and boogying down to feel-good music.

Your design is the hottest new disco in town that everyone is talking about–what will we see there? Use visuals that feel glamorous yet funky, such as loud and exaggerated patterns or shiny and sparkly touches.

Entries will be previewed on a 21” x 18” fat quarter. Submissions close June 7 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 9. Winners will be announced June 16. See official rules

  • I checked the official rules and there’s no further information on the Mable Tan prize. Usually a dollar value is listed for prizes (winners are supposed to report them for tax purposes, at least in the US).

Do the Mable Tan prizes have a dollar value?
