One of the best things about Spoonflower is that our products often find their way into all sorts of places across the United States and beyond! Given that the Spoonflower Marketplace has over one million designs, our wallpaper helps businesses create spaces that aesthetically align with their brands.

We asked several businesses, plus one design firm, to share how they chose and used our wallpaper to create spaces people want to visit, spend time in and come back to.

A gray fabric chair with thin wooden arms and legs and a white, brown and pink pillow on top sits on a small round pink shag rug. A silver lamp with three light bulbs sits behind it and a small round cream table sits to the chair’s left. The wall on the left is cream. The wall on the right has a cream background and repeating rows of small brown and pink rainbows.

A white oval conference table with 10 gray rolling chairs around it sits in the middle of a room in front of two windows with a brick office building outside. The wall to the right of the windows has been painted dark yellow. On the wall to the right of the table and chairs is a whiteboard on a wall with wallpaper featuring rows of light pink and white herringbone.

About Ashley David Design
Ashley David Design is a small Bay Area design shop that believes in the power of good design, because the office is where life and work meet. We help businesses radiate energy, productivity and happiness through focusing on the unique personal touches that make our clients stand out. The photos above are from the software company Braze’s San Francisco office.

Why did you choose these wallpaper designs for your clients?
We chose this wallpaper because it added the flare we needed. The colors aligned perfectly with the brand while bringing a surprising element to the space.

Has anyone commented about the wallpaper? If so, what have they said?
We get many fun comments on the wallpaper! People always love an unexpected surprise. Especially in workspaces, people aren’t thinking they will see gorgeous wallpaper so it’s a perk of the room for sure!

Three chairs covered in green and yellow thin vertical stripe fabric sit by three small tables of two, each with two wine glasses and two water glasses on them as well as a small plant. The seating opposite the striped chairs is a yellow backed bench. Behind the two tables to the right is a wallpaper design with a dark background and small red birds appearing dotted throughout bright green leaves and purple thistles. Behind the table to the left is a small window of three wooden open air shelves, each with books and plants on them.

Behind a row of dark wooden two-top tables with a white bench on one side and green chairs on the other is a wallpaper design with a light background and small red birds appearing dotted throughout bright green leaves and purple thistles. Three large airy wooden light fixtures are above and more tables are to the right and left.

Peck & Plume at The Mayton; Cary, North Carolina

About Peck & Plume
Peck & Plume is an American bistro located inside The Mayton Hotel in downtown Cary. Our name is a nod to  Downtown Cary Park and its avian inhabitants. We are a polished yet casual restaurant offering a menu of modern American classics taking inspiration from near and far.

Why did you choose Katie Hayes’ Peck and Plume design?
We wanted the interior of our restaurant to reflect and be inspired by the beautiful forthcoming Downtown Cary Park outside our doors. Spoonflower graciously connected us with Hillsborough artist Katie M. Hayes who created the beautiful design Peck & Plume that incorporates 11 fauna and flora species native to North Carolina. We have four different colorways of this design in the restaurant—Dark Green in our bar, Light in our dining room, and the Clay and Pine colorways in the restrooms.

What have guests said about your wallpaper selection?
We receive many comments and questions from guests about the wallpaper. When they ask about the species depicted in the wallpaper, we direct them to the mirrors above our bar, on which Raleigh artist SPCL Signs painted the names of each species in Latin.

A yellow velvet chair sits in the corner in the apex of two walls with pink wallpaper that has a design featuring rows of interconnected small white geometric shapes. Behind the chair is a wooden coat rack and along the wall to the right is a white bookshelf with a dark blue planter on top and dried flowers coming out of it on it as well as a stack of books.

A bathroom corner has walls with black wallpaper featuring columns of large pink thistle-like flowers with dark red centers. Small sprays of leaves and groups of small white flowers are underneath the larger pink blooms. A white ceramic sink is underneath a gold framed mirror.

Durham Food Hall; Durham, North Carolina

About Durham Food Hall
Based in Spoonflower’s backyard of Durham, North Carolina, Durham Food Hall is a casual, modern space designed for community—a chef-driven culinary and cocktail experience where everyone is welcome. Ten of the area’s most talented chefs create food and drink concepts using fresh local ingredients and an emphasis on sustainable, organic practices. We offer space to meet, eat and hold private events in a downtown Durham space once used as a tobacco auction-house.

Why did you choose these wallpaper designs?
We started with room specific color palettes and a defined style. After honing in on a specific design, we enjoyed looking at that designer’s full catalog. This often led us to a final paper selection that we may not have discovered if we had not perused the designer’s entire portfolio. Samples also helped us tremendously! We had all new favorites after seeing the samples.

What have guests said about your wallpaper selection?
Guests have oohed and ahhed over our wallpaper selections! They often comment about the sophistication of the designs and how the papers enhance each room and make them come to life. Our guests appreciate how each design complements the room it is in without overpowering it. These wallpapers have become quick fan favorites. Everyone especially loves the bathroom with all of the walls covered in such a dramatic print. We even covered the ceiling!
