As home improvement projects continue to increase in popularity across the world, people everywhere are looking for easy ways to transform a room that imparts a major wow-factor without the major renovations. In this post, we’ll share how seven Spoonflower employees use Peel and Stick Removable Woven wallpaper and Prepasted Removable Smooth wallpaper as their go-to for everything from furniture up-cycling to refreshing small spaces and even complete room makeovers.

Sarah W. | SVP of Brand Marketing | Something Fishy Bookshelf Project

Since working (and schooling) from home has become the new normal, Spoonflower’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sarah, wanted to bring a pop of color into a corner of her family’s main gathering space. We’d say the fish friends are in agreement with this appropriately themed makeover featuring Kate Rhees’ Just Jellies – Jellyfish design.

Maria N. | Brand Marketing | Big Changes in Small Spaces

We’re sensing a pattern here! Maria, who manages the German blog, social media and email accounts, was looking to create an inspiring environment for her home office. We love the simplicity of her chosen design—Watercolor Windowpane in Watermelon by friztin.

Maria didn’t stop with her corner desk. Using only two 3′ rolls of Peel and Stick wallpaper, Maria was able to add gorgeous texture and pattern to both her bathroom and kitchen:

Bonus: Recreating this project is easy. First, order your favorite design on Peel and Stick Removable Woven wallpaper then simply cut your paper to size and then, starting from the top, smooth the paper over your surface using a credit card or squeegee.

Meredith F. | Content and Partnerships | Kitchen Finishing Touches

When Content and Partnerships Manager, Meredith, finalized a major kitchen renovation this spring, she got to work adding details highlighting Peel and Stick wallpaper in beautiful designs from the Marketplace.

Laurie S. | Email Marketing | Boho Dining with Pink Accents

Spoonflower marketing team member Laurie set out to create a dramatic scene in her dining room focused around this black and white Boho Tile design by holli_zollinger. Then, combining her love of pink and faux-textured wallpaper, Laurie lined an antique buffet (her family’s heirloom piece), with Pink Marble Texture by color_amazing_designs.

Candela G. | Product Engineering | Out Of This World Bookcase

Berlin team member Candela gave this Ikea bookshelf the full treatment with a Spoonflower makeover featuring a playful design that works for both sci-fi-loving kids and vintage-loving adults alike, Retro Rockets by mumbojumbo.

Theresa R. | Social Media Marketing | Color Pop in the Kitchen

Using just one 12′ roll of Smooth wallpaper in Floral Jungle Dark Blue by tasiania, Assoc. Director of Social Media, Theresa, was able to create a stunning accent wall in this paper-cut style design.

How did she make it work? By selecting a design that had forgiving elements that made the repeat harder to spot, she was able to trim a single roll down to fit around her large windows, getting the most bang for her buck.

Tiffany M. | Floor Operations Supervisor | Foyer Information, We Love This Look

Longtime Floor Ops leader Tiffany shares her idea of the perfect entry-way, a functional and sophisticated foyer featuring Herringbone Hues of Grey by friztin. Spoonflower may be the home of loud designs you can’t find anywhere else, but if simple and elegant is more your style, we still have you covered!

A panel of wallpaper with repeating rows of narrow ovals with pointed tops and bottoms on a cream background is shown laying as if installed on a wall it is taking up the entire background of the image. The ovals are randomly black and dark orange. In the middle third on the right-hand side of the image, four rolls of the same wallpaper design in different colorways are laid lengthwise on top of the black-and-dark-orange panel. Only about a fourth of the rolls are shown. The rolls of wallpaper from top to bottom feature green-and-blue ovals on a cream background, black-and-white ovals on a cream background, orange-and-gray ovals on a cream background and kelly-green-and-dark-green ovals on a cream background.

U have a wallpaper with flour sacs, or sugar sacs on it, I havent been able to find it, is it still available?

    • Hi Sheila,

Thanks for your interest in Spoonflower’s wallpaper offerings! We custom-print every fabric and paper item to order—this means we do not keep a regular inventory in the usual sense of the word, but it also means that any design for sale is essentially “in stock,” since we physically create it when you order it! All the designs you see for sale in the Spoonflower Marketplace are created by independent designers the world over—and you are welcome to create and upload your own original designs as well! This could come in handy when if you’d like a specific flour sack from your own collection. Learn more about uploading your own artwork here.

Here are some of the best-selling designs that come up when I search flour sacks. Best of luck with your search!

    • Haha Thank you Kristina! I have many more Dunnies in my attic in boxes too! When my mom gave me the buffet that was in her house growing up, I figured it was a good time to pull out my collection. 🙂

  • I love these different uses of the wallpaper. Personally i like using wallpaper on the inside of drawers. Like a special surprise every time you open it up.
