Midsummer Festival | Entries due by May 26

Tjenare! You are cordially invited to celebrate the summer solstice with the Spoonflower community by entering the Midsummer Festival Design Challenge. Put up your maypole, arrange your flower crown and learn the Små grodorna (The Little Frogs) dance in order to usher in the new season just like they do in Sweden. This holiday is rich in tradition from the foods shared and the instruments played, you’ll be sure to find just the right elements to get this party started. Glad midsommar!
Entries will be previewed on a 21” x 18” fat quarter. Submissions close May 26 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins May 28. Winners will be announced June 4. See official rules.
Canadian Wildlife | Entries due by June 2

Step into a natural wonderland where fragrant spruce fills the air, green moss lay softly underfoot and a rich world of biodiversity is yours to discover. In this week’s Canadian Wildlife Design Challenge, we pay homage to this beautiful country and to the unique flora and fauna found within its territories, just in time for Canada Day celebrations on July 1. From grizzly bears to arctic hares, colorful vegetation or small unexpected critters, cast a call to the wild to help you create an original repeating fabric design.
Entries will be previewed on a 21” x 18” fat quarter. Submissions close June 2 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 4. Winners will be announced June 11. See official rules.
Quiet Spaces | Entries due by June 9

As we’ve found ourselves spending more time in our homes lately, now is the perfect time to create the ultimate cozy space with wallpaper. Close your eyes and imagine your dream “quiet space”. Does your wallpaper pattern feature calming colors like sky blue, light shades of green, muted earthy tones or pastel palettes of pink and yellow? Simplistic art deco vibes and shapes surrounded with negative space can help create the calming oasis this challenge is looking for.
Entries will be previewed on a roll of Spoonflower wallpaper. Submissions close June 9 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 11. Winners will be announced June 18. See official rules.
Large Birds | Entries due by June 16

From flamingos and ostriches to cranes and penguins, this week’s design challenge focus is to create an artful array of large birds that look beautiful while nesting at home! Let your favorite feathered species flock onto your walls as you design a habitat of birds perfect for luxurious decor. Will you migrate towards scandinavian style or soar towards illustrative detail for these repeating designs? Time flies when you’re being creative!
Entries will be previewed on a 21” x 18” fat quarter. Submissions close June 16 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Voting begins June 18. Winners will be announced June 25. See official rules.

I’m looking forward to Summer. Thank you for the thought provoking nature themes.
Many of us are noticing that some designs in the Off the way Toille used vintage clipart. I was under the impression that this is not allowed. Both of these designs were in the top 15.
