Significant Otters | Results Announced February 15
Did you know there are 13 different species of otters? With the help of their webbed feet, these natural born swimmers propel themselves through the waters in their natural habitat including oceans, freshwater lakes and marshes. If you’ve ever watched two otters holding hands (oh yes, it exists!) it’s safe to say this mammal has won the hearts of viewers with their otterly adorable appearance. This week we challenge you to win the hearts of the community with an otter-inspired design. Orchid and Navy Limited Color Palette | Results Announced February 22
This week, we’re putting the contest theme in your hands with our Orchid and Navy limited color pallet design challenge. Now’s your chance to create a repeating design inspired by your your favorite style of art, flora or fauna and literally anything in between. So, set your sights high because your only limit this week is to use at least 2 of the following colors: Navy (#031838), Light Orchid (#D3A0CC) and Burgundy (#81001E) and black/white are optional. The Tortoise and the Hare | Results Announced March 1
Slow and steady wins the race! For this week’s design challenge, get inspired by the classic tale of persistence and determination in The Tortoise and the Hare. Don’t limit your imagination there—turtles and rabbits are invited to race as well. Just be warned, losing momentum in this week’s challenge might leave you on the sidelines as the finish line closes at 3pm on Tuesday, February 20! Large Scale Art Deco | Results Announced March 8
The 1920s, also referred to as The Roaring ‘20s in the United States and the Golden Age Twenties in Europe, brought about the birth of the Jazz age, iconic dance moves and the inspiration for this week’s design challenge: Art Deco. This luxurious and modern style of art incorporates streamlined symmetry and geometrics for a classic look. While iconic to architecture in the ‘20s, Art Deco inspired elements could be seen in everything from fashion and jewelry to decorative arts. For this week’s Art Deco challenge, think big because all entries will be previewed on Roostery’s King size Wyandotte Duvet Cover. Learn more about Roostery’s custom bedding here.
