Nicole has a background in fashion development and design and a passion for businesses that do good, which has taken her to places like Uganda, Pakistan, and now Durham, NC.  Nicole has a pretty amazing job, getting to empower indie pattern makers through Sprout! She loves live music, Asian cuisine, and laughing. Get to know Nicole a little more through her 12 questions below!

The first thing I want you to know about me is: I am a strong independent lady who loves to laugh.

My secret talent is: planning weekly lunches like a champ and then getting bored of the meal by Tuesday.

The very first thing I do in the morning is: Hit the snooze button and cuddle with the pup. Then hit snooze again. Then drag myself out of bed.

The last book I read is: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – nowhere near as great as the original 7 books, but still….HARRY POTTER!

The last song I listened to is: Solange’s new album “A Seat At The Table” has been on repeat lately. Last played: “Junie”

I take my coffee: with a generous amount of cream. Why would anyone drink it black when it could be creamy?! And now that it’s fall, with some pumpkin spice as well!

I loooooove: my baby niece, Maya <3

I’m really proud of: my most recent make, an Alder shirtdress from Grainline Studio in my own fabric design!

The podcast I never miss an episode of is: She + Her! It is a really great podcast about issues pertaining to millennial women, created by two millennial women locally in Hillsborough, NC.

My favorite Spoonflower designer is: This is such a difficult question, as there are so many talented designers on Spoonflower. My favorite time and time again is Holli Zollinger. Her bohemian style, tribal and nature inspired designs always keep me coming back for more, I mean have you seen her new collection?! Brava, Holli!

My favorite type of fabric is: Lately, I have been obsessed with Poly Crepe de Chine – the drape of the fabric is so beautiful and perfect for apparel.

My favorite design in the Marketplace is: How to choose just one?! This design by age_of_wonder is amazing, plus the scale is perfect for seeing all of the detail put into the design. My tank top in this fabric is in heavy rotation right now.
