12 Questions for Community Outreach Coordinator and Customer Advocate: Meredith F.

OCT 5, 2016 updated Apr 26, 2021

It’s International Customer Service Week! What better time to highlight one of our Customer Service rockstars, Meredith? Meredith not only assists Spoonflower customers with fabric and design help, but she’s also our community outreach coordinator, planning events here at our Greenhouse community classroom like the Spoonflower Master Class and our Pins & Needles craft nights. Chances are if you’ve ever gotten a tour of Spoonflower, it was from Meredith (and chances are you were bowled over by her knowledge, charming smile and punny humor). Meet Meredith!

My secret talent is: eating sweet potatoes. I’ve had a half a sweet potato for breakfast every weekday for the past 3 years…that’s 390 sweet potatoes!

The very first thing I do in the morning is: hit snooze twice and then walk my dog, Alligator.

The last book I read is: “When Breath Becomes Air” ( grab some tissues before you start reading….my apologies to the kind man who sat next to me on the airplane).

Last song you listened to: what a Wonderful World by Sam Cooke. I’m getting married next August and we’ll be doing our first dance to this song… I think it’ll be on repeat until then.

I take my coffee: in a handmade mug made by a fellow Spoonie.

I loooooove: planning theme parties!

I’m really proud of: my improvement in sewing since I’ve started working at Spoonflower

The podcast I never miss an episode of is: Reply All

My favorite Spoonflower designer is: nouveau_bohemian

My favorite type of fabric is: I could live in our Cotton Spandex Jersey!

My favorite design in the Marketplace is: there’s too many great designs to choose from! Currently I’m loving the mermaid and the unicorn and Bite Me Original roses & orchids

bite-me by Scrummy on Spoonflower
BITE ME ORIGINAL roses & orchids by Scrummy
The Mermaid and the Unicorn, Marmara by Ceciliamok

My favorite holiday is: hands down, Halloween. My birthday is 5 days before Halloween so I grew up with Halloween themed birthday parties. My mom would go all out with decorating: handmade costumes, Barbie graveyards, bobbing for apples….and the most elaborate spiderweb birthday cake.

See more of Meredith’s favorite designs here, and meet more Spoonies
