Our beautiful dresses all stacked up for counting at the end of the day!
We’re so excited and inspired that folks from far and wide would like to contribute handmade dresses to this effort! If you’d like to participate remotely, we have all of the details you need here.
Carmen, our excellent instructor and organizer, provided a very thorough step by step tutorial for making the dresses which you can see here. You can download and print the template for the armholes by clicking the link, and you should have everything you need to make a simple and beautiful dress for a little girl!
If you’d like to make some dresses, we’ll be collecting them until Friday, March 14. Just send them here:

A proud sewer and Carmen display a finished dress!
A big thank you to everyone who came out to help sew last Saturday! If you’d like to check out more photos, head over to our Spoonflower Greenhouse Facebook page.
And thank you so much for supporting and sharing this effort! We’re excited to send some love to little girls in one of the areas hardest hit by last November’s Typhoon Haiyan. The generosity of crafters in our community never ceases to amaze, and we are so grateful.
If you have any questions, feel free to email [email protected].
Thank you so much, and happy sewing!
Becca
We printed cute tags to let folks know these dresses were made with love– and to keep track of the sizes!
This is a great project for sewers of all ages, too.
So many folks sewing in the Greenhouse– more than we’ve had sewing before!
Please tell me how to enlarge the pattern? THANK YOU.
Have more to bring to Spoonflower soon. Thanks again! – L. H-O. 🙂
Thanks for posting the directions! We’ll be dropping off more by the deadline. Hope you all made it home safely in the snow today!
