To create this calendar, I worked in Adobe Photoshop using three simple tools– the text tool, paint bucket, and paint brush.
To get started, I created a new document sized 72" x 26" so it would fit on one roll of gift wrap.
The rulers and grid can be turned on by clicking view > rulers and view > show > grid. I also added guides to my canvas to help designate space for each month. To add guides click view > extras > guides. When adding a horizontal guide click and drag from the horizontal ruler to the place where you'd like to add a guide. For vertical guides, do the same from the vertical ruler. Holding shift while dragging will make the guide snap to the ruler ticks.
After laying out my canvas, I started added the elements, starting with the months by using the text tool.
Using the watercolor Photoshop brushes found here I added a circle for each of the days in each month.
Last, using the text tool I added days of the week and days of the month and voila– a lovely little calendar that shows the entire year!
