Digitally printed fabrics give fashion designers endless options for creating unique motifs and repeats. Photographs and hand-drawn sketches are easily translated into fabric ready to stitch up a colorful top or dress. Today we are bringing you a special giveaway that will run for the next few weeks. One lucky winner will design cotton silk fabric and then fashion designer and Project Runway alum Alison Kelly will create a Dahl NYC Imogen dress just for them! Stay tuned for handmade garment inspiration from Alison.
Enter by Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 for a chance to win. We will announce the winner on the blog on Wednesday, October 9th. Last week's winners of a Wiksten Tank Sewing Pattern and custom printed fabric is Jennifer Barnes and Liz Plummer– congrats!
*Update: The winner can choose to design their own fabric or select fabric from the Spoonflower Marketplace.
The white dress is beautiful!

I’m confused – is this competition a design contest, or is it just a lottery/sweepstakes where someone gets to design the fabric regardless of how it will look? When I entered I thought it was a design contest but there was no way to enter a submission…
Sorry for the confusion! This is just a sweepstakes where the winner will be able to design their own fabric or use fabric from the Spoonflower marketplace. The post has been updated to reflect this clarification.
Best,
Allie
