We’ve reached day five of our 12 Days of Giveaways, and if you’ve got a special young person in your life in whom you’d like to encourage a love of sewing, today’s giveaway is for you! We’re giving away a copy of Sewing School, an introductory sewing book written by two friends who run a sewing camp for children in Memphis, TN and blog about crafting with kids. Sewing School features 21 projects that require minimal adult supervision for young sewers age 8 and up. All projects have been kid-tested and most can be made using simple hand stitches.
Along with this book, we’ll include a pouch made from Spoonflower organic cotton sateen printed with Verycherry’s Forest in her world design and stuffed with sewing supplies including a pair of 5-1/2 inch Mundial scissors, pins, seam ripper, hand-sewing needles, tape measure, five colors of Gutermann thread, and a tomato pin cushion. This is a truly special set for a beginning sewer!
Yesterday's winner — of the set of terrific cutting tools from Fiskars — is Jenny Haggerty. Congratulations, Jenny! We'll email her shortly.
Enter this giveaway before 8 am EST Wednesday morning for a chance to win, and we’ll announce a winner shortly afterward along with news of day six’s giveaway. Good luck to you all!
I love this! I know a little girl who has been wanting to learn to sew. So cute. candice_luts
oh, heck yes – my six year old daughter is finally old enough to start tackling projects… she’s working on some doll quilts for her cousins, and i would love to reward her hard work with this set!
Yea! I am so happy to see Sewing School in your 12 days of Christmas giveaway. Such a great package for a new sewer – thanks!
