Cotton Lawn Will No Longer Be Available On Spoonflower After Nov. 30, 2010
[left: lawn, right: the new voile]
Peeps,
You will continue to be able to order your designs printed on cotton lawn through November 30, 2010, at which point we plan to replace that particular fabric with a cotton voile appropriate for similar applications. The voile has a printable width of 54" and it is slightly lighter, 1.4 oz/sq.

Photos of EACH of the fabrics somewhere on the site would be very helpful for first-time buyers!!!!!!!
Been meaning to do that…. thanks!
Why the change? I rather like that the lawn is just opaque enough– voile by definition (and in the photo) edges over to truly sheer. Also, you haven’t include the thread count for the voile on the fabric description page. I hope you will consider updating that.
We will update the thread count in the description soon. The change is prompted by the fact that the lawn we've been getting has had inconsistent selvage tension, which has created lots of printing problems. The voile is similar, but seems to be more reliable.
Thread count of the voile: 70×70, yarns 60/1 x 60/1
