Upcoming Fabric Of the Week Theme: Ultimate Fighting!
Spoonflower is very excited to partner with the AFD Federation to offer a mixed martial arts crafting challenge: Ultimate Fighting Fabric Designs
We'll award first place to the best ultimate-fighting themed fabric that balances good use of color and classical surface design techniques with the most punishing repeats the quilting world has ever seen. [Please note that #8c1135 offers an excellent in-gamut blood red.]
A secondary contest will award a prize to the best arm-sling pattern that can fit on a yard of fabric, with both first-aid and sewing instructions included.
Oh wow! How very very cool. I was considering a template for a 1 yard apron, but an arm sling would have never occurred to me. How handy would that be? *laughs*
April Fools right?? : )
Why is this April’s fools?! :oD I feel so inspired that I might make one anyway.
Oooh, this just makes me laugh. A fabric smackdown. Hilarious, even if this is true. Or not. Or is. Or not…..
I might do an arm sling design anyway; hahaha. Love you Spoonflower folks<3
I will morph my idea into a tandem salute to ultimate fighting and offtrack betting. It will be ready for viewing next April 1st. 😉
Good April Fool’s for sure!
I was running upstairs to my husband yelling about how we’re gonna get to create designs for Ultimate Fighting and HOW cool was that?! He was impressed. LOL Then I had to tell him it was an April Fool’s joke. 🙂
LOL – you had me going. Took me awhile to figure out what the AFD Federation was too – nice touch. ;o)
A fabric smackdown… ha ha… it’s humiliating enough to lose the NORMAL contest every week, there’s so many great designers! ;o)
What!!!! I spent the last three days working through my concept and testing it on my grandchildren–They were very excited, as I’d fiqured out away to get them involved in my fabric design interest. We held a huge family event around it–voting and eating pizza. When I went to upload thw “winning” design, I saw this was an April Fools…LOL!!–April Fools’s April Fools. LMAO!–Just had to pull your leg back a bit.
