Hi there,
Maybe it’s my machine, or maybe Firefox but when I click on the image above to get to the voting, I can’t scroll down on the window that pops up, so I can’t complete my vote! Is there another way I can do this?
Thanks. 🙂

I am having the same problem, but using IE 7.
Same problem as above with IE7
Looks like there is an IE7 problem. We’re working with SurveyGizmo to try to resolve it. But there are no problems if you’re using Firefox.
We’ve reset the link on the blog post so that it does not open a new window, which seemed to be causing problems in both Firefox and IE. Apologies!
That was the same problem I had last week but you had two options to get to the vote; clicking on the thumbnail collection or clicking on the word “here” in the sentence below. Glad you got it fixed.
I have another question. Always before when I’ve clicked on the individual designers links in the list I’ve gone to the design page in Spoonflower. There I could look at the design more closely and also in 1 yard, which I found helpful in deciding which designs to vote on. This week I just go to a page that shows the design the same size as the contest and doesn’t allow me to switch to swatch or yard views. Is this a new set-up or is it something with my new browser? I much preferred being able to see the designs in more detail!
Yikes! That was my mistake. Very sorry. It's fixed now — you're the first to have pointed it out.
Wow – I had a really hard time voting in this contest. So many of the designs deviated from the original description of ‘toile’ in so many different ways – “modern” toiles I guess – some with full color, some using photos rather than illustration, some with just a simple repeated design element or even abstract art, rather than a repeated scene.
But in looking back at the rules, I realized I wasn’t sure whether this was a call to design a traditional toile or to merely use that description as a jumping-off point. Either would make a great contest, but having the rules unclear (not saying “it must be scenery” or “it must look like an illustration” or “it must be 3 colors or less” – or conversely, “make it a modern toile if you wish, anything goes”) made it hard for me to decide who to vote for! I ended up voting for the more traditional toiles – just knowing what effort went into making those.
FWIW I would love it if you could recap the “rules of the game” at the top of each voting page.
Great group of designs though – thanks for putting on these contests, they’re lots of fun!
good luck to all of you designers!
just curious…when voting during the last couple of fabric contests, it appears that one could vote endless multiple times from the same computer…is this the case??? if so, does this not make the winner simply a winner by number of clicks rather than by true diverse objective opinion???
No, we're filtering out duplicate votes on the back end. When we blocked repeat voters with cookies, it drew lots of confusion and frustration from people who accidentally left the page without voting and then couldn't get back in. So we decided that getting rid of repeat votes with a filter was probably the best approach. You can vote as many times as you like, but only the first vote gets counted.
ah..excellent!!! thank you for the response!!!
