After three marathon weeks of Christmas fabrics, we have the final winner: White Trees by illustrator Juliann Law, available as a special, limited edition for the next six days in the Spoonflower Etsy shop. I thought the competition last week was pretty stiff, but she emerged as the clear winner from a large field (you can refresh your memory of the designs in the voting here). Totals were:

How about cupcakes as a theme for one of your contests
Oh my gosh! I think this has been the hardest week to choose from! There were so many wonderful fabrics – I wanted more than two votes!!
I think Halloween may be the best holiday from a purely visual, creative perspective. Christmas is a little more convention-bound from a design standpoint. With Halloween designs people seem to feel more free just to have fun and be wacky. Having said that, we saw some really lovely Christmas designs — many of them not photographed in a way that really showed them to their best effect. That’s one of the limitations of running the contest the way we run it, unfortunately.
What a tough choice this week…Halloween is my favorite holiday.
