I’ve often been smitten by Linabobardi’s designs when I’ve spotted them in our Flickr pool. Have you seen her beautiful birdhouse print, for example? Or these Esther Williams-esque swimming ladies? When she has us print up one of her designs, I know I’ll get to see something cool come out of it. Like lampshades. I’m crazy about this project idea! I mean, really, what better way to show off your fabric design than to put a light behind it and let it shine in a dark room? The best part is that Lina describes herself as having “limited sewing skills,” meaning, I’m guessing, that it can’t be that hard. I don’t know where she got her instructions, but perhaps something along these lines would be a good place to start….
Be careful if you use craft glue because when the lamp is lit the glue sometimes shows up in blotches.
