Scarlet Fig

With the girls running amok here at home and the arrival of some out-of-town guests this weekend–necessitating a ridiculous amount of house cleaning catch-up on my part–I haven’t had a whole lot of time lately for my own sewing projects.  Blog fodder still abounds, however, because all you uber-productive Spoonflower users are completing sewing projects galore

I just got an email from Laurie Wisbrun of Scarlet Fig this weekend that she’d completed many, many pillows, among other projects, for her first-ever craft show in a couple of weeks.  She designed her own chair-themed fabrics and had us print them for her awhile back, and has used some of these in her most recent projects.  Her chair designs are beautifully simple.  I especially like the blue fabric with the little olive green birds perched on some of the chairs.  Even if you’re nowhere near Laurie in Austin, TX, you can still visit her Etsy shop to view all sorts of lusciously colored home decor items.  They’re gorgeous, Laurie!  I hope you sell them all.

  • Big smile and a bit of blushing here in Austin! Wow Kim. 🙂 Thanks for the super kind words about my work. You, Stephen and Danielle have been so wonderful in helping me get my vision of little chairs onto fabric. I can’t wait to try more color ways. I’m also selling fat quarters of the chairs, so I’ll keep you posted on how the fairs go. Thanks again and long live Spoonflower!
