Indie craft documentary

OCT 3, 2008 updated Apr 26, 2021

This may be a case where everyone else in the crafting world is way ahead of me, but do you all know about Handmade Nation, a documentary about the indie craft movement, due to come out next year?  You can view the trailer below.  I, for one, am super psyched!

  • Every November there is a Handmade arcade. It’s held in the construction Juction which sells items that have been taken from old home and buildings. Woodwork, mandels, doors, doorknobs and stuff like these. The handmade arcade is there for 3 days and it is just like your video.
I actually received and invite to look into have a space of my own there. I am not quite ready for that just yet but I am working on it.

  • Thanks for this, I just love learning about what the craft community is doing. This documentary looks very inspiring.
I wanted to say Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You made my day today. I went to the mailbox and there were my swatches. They came out amazing. You wrapped them so nicely and they got to me so fast. I am going to post about them tomorrow on my blog, and I already uploaded photos of them on the flickr pool. You have opened up endless possibilities for the creative muse to have a picnic of inspiration! Karen
