This Saturday we were delighted to have so many of our local friends stop by to craft in celebration of our first year of classes and gatherings in the Greenhouse, our classroom and community space at our Durham, NC headquarters! It was so exciting to catch up with old friends and meet new faces as we enjoyed fully stocked crafting stations to dye, collage, and embellish wooden holiday ornaments and toured Spoonflower's printing operations.
New friends striking a pose in front of our "photobooth" created by hanging two rolls of matte gift wrap printed with our Greenhouse logo and affixed to the wall with washi tape!
I've said it once, and I'll say it again– time flies when you're having fun, and this past year of classes, workshops, sew-ins, and craft parties in the Greenhouse, our classroom and community space, has been a blast!
To celebrate the wonderful friendships we've made since our first open house last November, we teamed up with Rit Dye, Mod Podge, and Darice to provide all of the necessary supplies and embellishments for an afternoon of crafting. The creativity and conversation flowed as folks collaged, painted, and bedazzled wooden holiday ornaments and greeting cards, and friends new to the Spoonflower offices had the opportunity to tour our facilites to see how we print our fabric, wallpaper, decals, and gift wrap!
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to help us celebrate our big day! We can't wait to see what our next year holds, and it's already off to a great start! If you're in the area or planning a trip to Durham, please check out our events page to see what's coming up– we'd love to see you here!
We had so much fun at our Greenhouse anniversary party, and all month long in November we'll be sharing DIYs on the blog for some unique ideas for your own fall parties and festive gatherings!
