Cheater Quilt Fabric Giveaway
Here in NC, things are starting to look and feel downright cozy lately. The leaves are turning colors, temperatures are dropping to extra-blanket-at-night levels, and curling up on the sofa with a quilt to hand-stitch is becoming my preferred activity after the kids have gone to bed.
With the turn of weather also comes a turn in merchandise in the stores--have you noticed? Halloween decorations have been up for quite some time now, but Christmas items are starting to sneak in now, too. I can't say I love being prodded to think about Christmas already but then again, if you make gifts by hand it's definitely time to be getting going on them!
The weather turning colder and the onset of holiday hand-making season combine for this week's giveaway of two yards of the cheater quilt fabric of your choice! If you're our winner, you can choose from among hundreds of cheater quilt designs on our site printed onto whatever base fabric you think is most cozy, whether you plan to keep the resulting quilt for yourself or turn it into a gift for a deserving loved one. To enter this drawing, please just comment below or on the corresponding Facebook post, and leave your Spoonflower screen name so that we can track you down easily if you win. And do tell us what your favorite cheater design is while you're at it! Entries close next Tuesday, 10/30 and we'll announce a winner on Halloween, 10/31. Good luck, everyone!
Last week, we offered up three copies of MADE blogger Dana Willard's book Fabrics A to Z, and the three winners were Jo Hobson, Daniele Osterhaus, and Tammy D. Gray. Congratulations to you all, and we'll be in touch soon! For those of you who didn't win Dana's wonderful sewing resource, check out the adorable tutorial she put up on the Spoonflower blog Monday showing how to create sweet baby tank tops out of a mere fat quarter of Spoonflower organic cotton interlock knit. Dana provided a free, downloadable tank pattern within the tutorial, so you can still get your free fix!
