Violette Field Threads pattern and fabric giveaway
My daughters and I recently drew up a poster of things to do this summer and hung it on the fridge. I tried to only add things that I knew all of us would enjoy: "Pick peaches," for example, and "Invite friends on a picnic." I made an effort not to write anything down that was just for me to enjoy though I do sorely want to finish a couple of quilts and make a few things for our house this summer. My 7-year old daughter was looking out for us both, though. "Mom can make more dresses for me," she put down completely unprompted. So in amongst all those trips to orchards and museums and swimming pools, perhaps I'll get some sewing in after all!
Darci at Spoonflower recently pointed me in the direction of a children's clothing pattern line that I hadn't seen before, Violette Field Threads, and I suspect that these patterns' romantic, girly style will really appeal to my girls. I'm personally not the frilly type but my two younger ones at least still have an appetite for ruffles and bows, never mind that they're far more likely to be found catching frogs and tiny worm snakes in the garden than they are to be playing tea party.
If you have a young girl in your life who appreciates the super-pretty, enter this week's giveaway for a Violette Field Threads pattern of your choice plus two yards of the Spoonflower fabric of your choice to make it up in. To enter, let us know which pattern and size you'd like in the comments field below or on the corresponding Facebook post. Keep in mind that Violette Field Threads offers a few printed paper patterns, but most of their patterns are available as downloadable pdf files that you print at home and tape together. Do include your Spoonflower screen name or some other means of tracking you down easily in case you're our winner. Entries close next Tuesday, 6/12 and we'll announce a winner on Wednesday, 6/13. This giveaway is now closed and a winner will be announced shortly.
Last week's winner of a copy of The Crafter's Guide to Taking Great Photos was Terese Grove (designedtoat) in Australia--congratulations, Terese!
