Keeping Your Toiles Local
Our contest this week required designers to create fabric designs inspired by the 18th-century style of toile de jouy, but using as their subjects the histories of the designers' respective towns. The result provides an entertaining set of fabrics, but also a nice set of mini-history lessons for a handful of cities you may never get a chance to visit. We're imagining these fabrics as curtains for a lucky bunch of local libraries.
